Encore I and II are part sculpture and part painting, painted in oil paint, gold leaf, and cold wax on reclaimed wood blocks with the best prior life lived that I could possibly imagine. 

The Schooner Ernestina-Morrissey has carried fishermen, explorers, scientists, polar bears, walrus, Navy men, oceanographers, Cape Verdean immigrants, and goods bound for Africa. Built in 1894 in Essex, MA, Ernestina-Morrissey is now a National Landmark operated by the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
